Here's a rare opportunity to own a very rare rod made by legendary rodmaker C.W. "Sam" Carlson!
This beautiful 5' 1pc stream and brook rod was made during the very early days of Sam's ownership of the Thomas Rod Co.
The rod features lightly flamed cane with Sam's typical Red/Black wrap and trim configuration.
The full cork cap and ring seat had some sticky glue residue on it, so the glue has been cleaned off, resulting in the seat looking clean again.
The rod has "Thomas Rod Co." and "#1104" written in ink on the shaft.
The rod is completely original with the exception of two guides having been re-wrapped.
Rod includes a replacement bag a new replacement Thomas tube.
Rods from the Carlson shop come around very rarely, and this tiny stream rod is one of the rarest of them all!
