Vintage H.L. Leonard Model 39 8' 3/2 Fairy Catskill

Here is a rare and sought after Pre-1925 vintage H.L. Leonard, Model 39 Fairy Catskill.

8' 3pc, 2 tip rod weighs 2 3/8 oz, for a 2/3 wt line.

Unfortunately, this rod has a few issues, but will make this otherwise high priced Leonard just the ticket for someone to add to their collection and fish!

Both tips are short, 2" and 9 1/2" respectively.  One guide on the mid has been re-wrapped, and the ferrule wrap on the butt needs to be re-wrapped.  This can be done for an additional cost prior to shipping, or re-wrap them yourselves.

Otherwise, this beautiful rod is all original, with full intermediates, snake guide stripper, tiny 4 1/2" grip, Cedar cap & ring seat. 

Has the Leonard-Mills Co. Makers stamping on the butt cap, which ended in 1924, and pat. number ferrule stamps.

A great opportunity to own a 100 year old Leonard Fairy Catskill at a fraction of the mint price.

Comes with original bag and brass capped aluminum tube.
