Vintage F.E. Thomas Browntone Parabolic 8' 2/2 Fly Rod

Here's an extremely rare, one of 14 made according to the 1937-1958 ledger, 8' 2pc Browntone Parabolic taper fly rod.
2pc, 2 tip rod is all full length and straight. Weighs 4 5/8 oz. Made in 1940. Casts like a dream.
Half wells grip with full cork reel seat and nickel slide band.
Rod has been fished and has some wear to the bluing on the reel seat, and some soiling of the cork, but overall excellent.
All wraps are original with the exception of the ferrule wrap on the butt section. Rod has a recent re-coat of varnish, and is ready to fish.
Comes with the original bag, with replacement hang tag, and original brass capped aluminum tube.
This is the first Parabolic taper Thomas rod I've seen in over 30 years in business.
